AI Campus is a digital learning platform focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI), publicly accessible since July 2020 in a beta version and continuously evolving. As a research and development project, AI-Campus is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

AI Campus is for students, professionals, and lifelong learners interested in Artificial Intelligence. It also targets universities, research institutions, and companies that wish to contribute their own learning offerings or integrate AI Campus content into their teaching.

All learning offerings on AI Campus are free of charge. Additionally, all original content on AI Campus is available under an open license (typically CC BY-SA 4.0), allowing free reuse and integration into other educational contexts. Costs may apply for exams and certification issuance for external courses recommended on AI Campus.

The vision of AI Campus is to create a society competent in AI. The platform aims to impart knowledge about Artificial Intelligence and inspire more people to engage with the subject. Learners are empowered to understand, critically evaluate, and actively contribute to AI developments, addressing the current shortage of skilled professionals while promoting responsible AI use.

AI Campus is developed collaboratively by Stifterverband, Charité, German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg (DHBW), FernUniversität in Hagen, Hasso-Plattner-Institut (HPI), Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, mmb Institute, and NEOCOSMO, along with numerous partners.

From podcasts and videos to courses and "micro-degrees" - AI Campus offers a wide range of high-quality learning opportunities covering various aspects of Artificial Intelligence. All offerings aim to provide AI competencies at an academic level. Original AI Campus content is specifically developed for the platform, while existing content from other platforms is selected based on academic quality standards and recommended as "External" offerings on AI Campus. Our learning resources are openly licensed and freely accessible.

AI Campus covers foundational topics, interdisciplinary issues, and specialized areas within Artificial Intelligence, such as Machine Learning. It also offers targeted courses addressing specific needs of various professional fields and disciplines, such as AI in medicine or AI in education. The learning offerings are continuously expanded.

No specific prior knowledge is required for introductory learning offerings. Advanced courses, however, may require prerequisite knowledge, as indicated in the course descriptions. All offerings aim to impart AI competencies at an academic level.

You do not need to be enrolled at a university to access AI Campus learning offerings online. Some courses, however, are embedded in degree programs in a blended learning format that may offer ECTS credits. Enrollment may be required for these specific courses.

Selected courses on AI Campus may offer ECTS credits, which can be recognized or transferred based on agreements with respective universities. However, AI Campus cannot guarantee universal recognition. For specific inquiries, please contact your university directly.

To register, visit our website and sign up. After registration, you will receive an email with a verification link. Click on the link to set your password.

Please note, the verification link is valid for 24 hours and can only be used once. If you cannot find the email, please check your spam folder. If you encounter issues like "The link is no longer valid," it might be due to security settings by your e-mail adress organisation. In such cases, using a different email address for registration usually resolves the problem.

You do not need to create an account to browse our courses. Some content is accessible without an account, such as the "Stadt | Land | Datenfluss" course. Full access to all courses requires registration.

Currently, confirmations of participation can be obtained for all online courses on the learning platform and records of achievement for selected online courses. The following applies to all online courses on the AI Campus learning platform: A AI Campus certificate of participation is awarded to all those who have accessed at least 50 percent of the learning content. A AI Campus certificate of achievement is awarded to those who have achieved at least 60 percent of the total points in the sum of all assessed tasks in the course. Here is a step-by-step guide to finding your courses: Visit the AI Campus website at https://ki-campus.org/.

Click on the avatar icon in the top right corner. Then select "Dashboard." This page will show most of your courses on the first learning platform. If you are looking for additional courses not displayed there, click on "My Other Courses."

This will take you to the new learning platform where some additional courses with new learning materials are available. To return to your courses on the original platform, click "My Other Courses" again. We are aware that this process is not optimal and are actively working on a solution to consolidate all courses on a single page. We appreciate your patience as we improve the user experience.

Some courses offer flexible timelines for completion according to your schedule, while others may have specific deadlines. This information can be found in the course description.

In the overview of learning offerings, you can use various filter functions. For example, you can use the filter by difficulty level and choose between "Beginner," "Intermediate," and "Expert." Your selection also depends on the topics you want to further your education in or if you have a specific learning goal. There is no fixed schedule, so just take another look through the learning offerings on the AI Campus.

In a peer assessment, learners evaluate the work of their fellow learners. This promotes understanding and learning ability as they engage deeply with others' work and provide constructive feedback.

In the course "Introduction to AI", the assignment cycle starts every month on the 10th and extends for about three weeks. During this period, you will complete the tasks and review assessments by other participants. From the 30th of the month, you can view peer reviews and receive corresponding points.

If you are unable to complete the assignment within the specified timeframe and submit a response, you can simply participate again in the next cycle and start over. Unfortunately, it is not possible to expedite or change this process. Therefore, we recommend allocating sufficient time to participate in the course. For more information, please visit here.

If you have forgotten your password, you can easily reset it. Follow these steps: Click on "Login" in the top right menu of the page. In the login window, select the "Forgot Password" link below the input fields. You will then receive an email with a link to set a new password. Please note that this email may occasionally land in your spam folder. Once you have set the new password, you can log in again using your username and the new password.

You can make certain changes in your profile yourself, including changing your profile picture, password, and email address (except for the username).

Here's how you proceed: Click on your avatar at the top right of the website. Choose "Profile". Then click on "Edit Profile" and follow the instructions on the page to make your desired changes. Don't forget to save your changes at the end!
